Chroma Color Gamut 4:4:4 vs 4:2:0 (Marantz SR 5011)

My Marantz SR 5011 is only allowing a Chroma rating pass thru of 4:2:0 and only 4K SDR (tested via Apple TV). Probably even better on my Oppo but can't test it.

When I by pass the Marantz and plug the Apple TV directing into the TV I get 4K HDR, 4:2:2. Think I even got 4:4:4 once but forgot to take a pic of it.

I am using a Mediabridge Ultra series HDMI 2.0 (18 Gbps) that supports 4K @ 60Hz.

Questions:
1: Is there a noticeable difference between 4:4:4 & 4:2:0 chroma ratings?

2: Can I alter my Marantz to increase the color space beyond 4:2:0? I tried but could not figure it out.

I'm doing all this because I'm not in love with the picture of my Sony TV. I understand it is a mid tier Sony but other much cheaper TVs in my house look better IMHO.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Quick update: I found deep in the tech specs online that the Marantz SR 5011 supports 4:4:4 color spacing...

    Per Crutchfield website:
"4:4:4 Color Subsampling: All of the receiver's rear-panel HDMI jacks support RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, and YCbCr 4:2:0 color subsampling (@ 60Hz or 50Hz). With 4:4:4 color subsampling, luminance (brightness) and chroma (color) are sampled at the same rate; resulting in an RGB color palette as big as the video sampling rate for a video image with more colors, plus greater color accuracy and detail. The front-panel HDMI only supports 4K 60/50Hz using format YCbCr 4:2:0 only."

Think my problem might lie with my HDMI 2.0 18Gbps cable.

Where can I find a next gen HDMI 2.1 cable with 48Gbps?

I checked this a few weeks ago and my understanding is there is no such thing yet available. There are some claims but I cannot find a cable with a logo specified by HDMI.org If you go to HDMI.org it may help.

Most Audioquest's cables will pass above and beyond the current specs

I would surmise you would need a high end OLED or the like to gain that full spectrum
