So I get my AS in the mail today and low and B-hole, Neil Gader reviews
the L100. People seem to be focused on it. I wanted to check out the
L200. Anyone compare and contrast?

"As the smallest member of the Legend Series it delivered a level of execution,
balance, musicality, and outright thrills that place it among the top of its
class"
Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears

Heard both, same place, same gear. The L200 is the better one.

Thanks F1nut. I was worried about that "bass bloat" or blob throb...
or even a bet of a disconnect between bass and treble...
sometimes small is a better overall speaker.

The L100 is good to 57Hz, so no real bass if that is someones thing.

If you're seriously considering them I'd try and listen to them first or buy from a place with a good return policy. I'm not trying to brand bash on the sly, I'm just saying. You might not like them. You might love them. Who knows.

If you haven't already take a look at all the L200 demo reviews posted here on the forum. I don't recall any comments about bass bloat.

I’m still waiting for that issue. Last one I received a few weeks ago was the annual issue reviewing speakers and cables. Didn’t see anything about Polk in it.

    Yes Doc, TAS.

    Yes Bluefox, the upcoming issue.

The Yamaha gear review was especially interesting to me.
I assume it will be available on line in a couple of weeks?

Why are they no reviews of the L800? Seems like the return of SDA AND serving as the flagship of the line, SOMEONE would review those.

There's a review online, but the guy is stuck in consumer grade hell and doesn't have a clue about higher end audio.

If memory serves, it was kind of skeletal.

Kinda changing the subject (me?!? ) -- someone did, finally, measure & report the L200 impedance curve :)

The L200 is pretty well behaved, based on those data.
