Any Automatic transmission guys out there?

A couple days ago, the transmission in my 2004 Jaguar XJ8 with 70k miles on it started to slip out of gear while driving, regardless of speed. I could be idling at the light and it would slip out and give a little clunk before re-engaging. It would then drive fine for a few minutes of the rest of the day. It happens now at any speed, and even on the freeway at 70mph. when it slips out, it is always accompanied by that thump or clunk, and then re-engages and drives just fine. Any ideas what might cause this?

Fluid levels are good, there are no codes, and there are zero leaks under the car.

Could be your torque converter lock relay failing. They will need to drop the pan to replace it so a tranny service is in order. If it was the TCM I'd think it would be throwing codes.
