Looking for a Cambridge CXN v2

Anybody have one they'd part with? Already have one in the main rig, but would like another for the secondary system. Either color would be fine.

Ah man I just returned mine to cambridge and upgraded to the 851n. It should be back up on their ebay store soon, it worked great. Keep your eyes peeled because they pop up there often but then they disappear!

@DaveHo The CXN is nice, I see why you would want another.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why a popular entry streamer isn't all over eBay new or used. There's just two V1s in Canada.

@Nightfall they are pretty unique at the $1000 price point. They’re just aren’t many options that have roon, tidal, Spotify, and really solid DAC for that price. So it makes sense to me that you can’t find many used! Cambridge’s eBay store has then for $799 refurb and they pop up every couple weeks but they are usually gone within 24 hours. Have to do a saved search with notifications and be ready to pounce!

@afterburnt i really wasn’t able to do an in-depth comparison. I did immediately love the way the CXN sounded: wide soundstage and very engaging and involving sound. But I felt like the DAC wasn’t quite as good as the one in my 851d and the 851n was only $100 more so to keep buyers remorse and at bay I just made the upgrade. I am definitely not disappointed!

All of these Cambridge Audio players do the trick. I started out with the SM6 and moved to the 851N. The whole vibe set my curiosity to explore as even the 851N just didn't quite keep my attention. As long as that bug doesn't hit ya like it did me the whole line of CA is great. Im sure you'll snag up a V2 if you remain patient. 😉

Yeah, there's not many on the used market. New or CA refurb is more than I'd like to pay. Got spoiled by the nice deal from @WagnerRC on my first one.

Yea, that's because their price shot up sometime in the last 6-12 months. For a while it was $549. Kicking myself that I didn't buy one at that price!

There is one on eBay now. Unless you are extremely lucky u will not find one for less, even used: I know because I looked for like 6 months before finally pulling the trigger...

I hear you. But for that price I'll keep an eye out for 851N for the main rig & move the CXN to the secondary.

That’s what I ended up doing. Cambridge’s eBay store sells them for $899. I really like the DAC in the 851 series...
