Need FB Page Help

Im am OK with Photoshop, but I am missing something here trying to finish my FB page. Specifically, what SIZE and FILE FORMAT do I need to use for a FB page cover area (up top) and profile pic (circle below to left). Here is the page so far:

Hermitism, those specs worked perfectly for a JPEG file. While my Photoshop skills pale in comparison to yours, I was able to come up with something much better than the stock , free icons available on the web.

So on the 132 pixel profile pic....how do I select that size after opening the circle tool in PS?

You don't have to make the profile picture round. FB automatically takes a square picture and makes it round. You just need a 132 x132 square pic. I think it automatically sizes down a larger photo, just like Vanilla does with our avatars. I always find it best to upload the appropriate size because the pictures always seem to come out more clear without FB or Vanilla resizing it. Another tip, when shrinking down a larger picture, once downsized increase it's sharpness.
But, to answer your question, I don't use PS, I use a program called GIMP. It's been too long since I used PS, but if I remember correctly, I think you are referring to the Ellipse Tool, when using that tool I think you hold down the "Shift" key to lock its height and width to the same proportions and then I think you can resize that layer afterwards. I'm not 100% on that. Sorry. -
ok I got PS to come up with a logo but it FB keeps telling me the pic is too small....I even bumped it up to 175 x 175 with same result. FB is free for a reason....😐

I just checked and my FB avatar is 360x360. I have no idea how I came up with that size, but it was uploaded before fb made the change to it's newer look. So maybe they used a different size back then.

I bumped it to 200 x 200 and it liked that....I dont know if its FB or our internet have the time. Thanks for the help sir!
