Polk Audio RTiA9 or enough power?

Hi. I would like to buy Polk Audio RTiA9 speakers. I am using Sony TA-F830ES amplifier and Denon AV-R2600H receiver. Is it enough power for them to use the potential of these columns? Denon also works for me in stereo, without additional speakers.

I’m inclined to say no. If you’re mostly to 100% music, consider another model

    W/few exceptions:
    1. the ‘A9s do better w/a separate power rated @ 150 WPC into 8 ohms - 200 plus really makes ‘em sing
    2. the RTi A series works well for HT but most find them bright &/or edgy for music regardless of electronics* - that includes me! I own RTi A1s, ‘A3s, & ‘A7s plus the A6 center
    * I’ve driven the above w/ Belles, Rotels, Haflers, & Parasounds

Some others should chime in soon.

The Sony TA-F830ES integrated amplifier is a fairly robust piece that should drive the A9 pretty well. However, you may find the combination of the two results in a very bright treble.

    I agree with the above.

The Sony ES you have is a great unit. When Sony put their minds to it they make great equipment.

As for the A9's the Sony will drive them nice BUT! I too think it will be very bright. I'd look at Signature S60 or one of the LSiM line
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

    Hello, :)
I was looking at the RTi-A9's specs at Crutchfield yesterday.
An hour later, I went back to check , and, they was no listing.
Might be sold out at Crutchfield.
Free shipping was a "Win/Win" situation from Crutchfield.
    Did you get them? :)

I got mine form them 6 months ago.

BTW, yesterday, I listened to my A9's, with a new YAMAHA A-S801 Integrated Amp and new 10 Gauge Speaker Cables.
    Sounded super good.
I'm not sure if the YAMAHA A-S801 is a High Current Amp. :(

They’re discontinued (for a while now—all you’ll find is new old stock) but you can still see the specs.

    Hi Rooftop, :)
I mentioned that, as, I was wondering if Khedron bought the last A9 pair, at Crutchfield. Someone bought them within the time I was going back and forth to the Crutchfield website yesterday.
Only had the A7's as the top model showing among the Floor Standing Speakers. The A9's was there and then gone.

Sales must be up at Crutchfield.
Someone bought the last PANAMAX MR4300 too.
AUDIO TECHNICA TT in Black was back in stock and gone already.

BTW, Good Luck in your Speaker search Khetron.. :)
