SDA SRS 2.3 identifing question

I have been perusing this Forum for about 3 months now and finally took the plunge and joined....
I am the original owner of a set of SDA SRS 2.3's and have a question regarding the identifiers on the rear of the speakers. According to the SRS "Bible", the identifying info should read "SDA-SRS 2.3", but the info on mine says "SDA-SRS 2", with a serial #2500. I am positive they are 2.3's due to Driver placement & donuts on the upper & lower Drivers. I am attaching quick pics of this. Also, have the same info on the left side, serial #2580. This is not a big deal, just wondering where in the production cycle the correct identifier was used?
And just so you know, I am the original owner and have all the boxes, hardware and documentation. I bought them in '89 or '90 (will have to check the receipt!) from Alma's Hi-Fi Stereo in Farmington Hills, Mi. I am using them as Fronts and have them paired with a set of Polk S60's for the rears and a Polk CS10 Center Channel. I just recently passively Bi-Amped the 2.3's with a Yamaha RX-A2080 and do they sound phenomenal!!
Just last week, I upgraded my PSW202 to 2- HST12's for a simple 5.2 system. The S60's have been broken in and the HST12's break in will be finished up today!! I am looking forward to this weekend and hope the neighbors don't call the police!!

For some reason a lot of the 2.3's were labeled this way. Polk was always good at utilizing spare parts into different models, could be they had an abundance of SRS 2 labels at the time

You're not bi-amping with an AVR, pure marketing hype.Political Correctness'.........defined

Kinda figured that was the answer, but is there a way to cross reference the serial #'s with production dates?? Does anyone have pics of the 2.3 identifiers?

Identifiers? The 2.3 was the only SDA to come with the donut drivers.Political Correctness'.........defined

I have seen the discussions regarding Active and Passive Bi-Amping and all I can tell you is there is a world of difference in how they perform now as opposed to the original wiring shown in the photo. There is a much cleaner, clearer & much louder sound now. The whole system pairs up nicely and absolutely sings!!
Called them "identifiers" instead of nameplates..... -
You can't rob Peter to pay Paul. Your AVR has one power supply for all the channels, therefore the more channels you use the less wpc it can provide. It's rated at 140 wpc @ 8ohms with only 2 channels driven. There is no spec for all channels driven, but it would be considerably less than 140, possibly as little as 50 wpc.

I don't disagree with that at all, but it is a marked improvement and it will have to do until I get the WAF on a 2nd amp, lol!! It's all about listening pleasure and the current setup makes my ears smile. .
It's a process that has been evolving since '74 when I got my first equipment, a Pioneer 838 Receiver and a pair of Marantz HD-77 speakers and and lately (since adding the HST-12's), the Wife even says "TURN IT UP"!! -
Loosening the oxidized connections will create fresh surface contact. In addition, removing the heavily oxidized jumper cables and adding new speaker cable will improve the sound. I presume you re-ran the calibration program.Political Correctness'.........defined
