Mixer (with FX) and Microphones for Karaoke Setup

Looking to build a karaoke system for the kids and I think I can put something together that will be much nicer than the 'karaoke machines' in quality and versatility since karaoke versions of just about any song can be found on YouTube.
Basically looking for a mixer with built-in effects. Also looking for decent microphones (wired or wireless). We have one or two very cheap microphones that may get us by for now. With that, we can get started. I have older speakers and an amp & receiver I plan to use (carefully) until I can get some PA speakers.
Anyone have any 'DJ' equipment (mics, mixers, or PA speakers) they are looking to get rid of?
