    Oh, no. The Quads do not suffer from the low-level detail issue at all. I like that you can turn them down and it’s still all there.

    A lot of that can be gear dependent as well. Details at the bottom end were sorely lacking in my setup until I went to Pass Labs for my preamp. Even at the lowest possible volume setting, everything is there, and the addition of the REL just set a foundation under everything that is solid as a rock and makes everything above it come to life.

    Realizing full well the reality of the Fletcher-Munson equal intensity curves: it is nonetheless absolutely amazing to listen to a fade-out on the Duplexes... the music gets softer, but not thinner.
