New here, and don’t know much about surround sound systems. I bought random speakers, and a receiver about 12 years ago, and wanted some opinions on how/if I should upgrade anything. I’m currently running:
Center: Polk CS1 (considering upgrading to CS2, or any other suggestions?)
Front: Polk T90e (monitor 60 equivalent I think)
Bookshelf: RTi4
Receiver: Harmon Kardon AVR 130
Sub: MTX Audio- SW2
Do I need a better receiver, or can I just add an amp? Any make/model recommendations? TIA

Budget?

Does your HK receiver have “pre-outs“ on the back?

If I remember correctly, Don, the 1 series does not have preouts. You had to go to the 2 series and above. -
Sounds like he can’t simply add an amp to the HK. Brings it back to budget, indeed

No preouts on that HK. Need a beefier receiver for that setup. Budget is key!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
