I am waiting on my Polk CS1000p speaker to replace my CS400. I was reading the owners manual about the hook up and still have a question. Should I hook it up with the speaker inputs only or should I use a y cable from my Lex DC-2 center out and hook one end to the center amp and the other to the input on the back of the CS-1000? Whic way will yield the best sound? Another option would be to biamp the speaker. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

    Jeff-

I switched from the 400, (now my rear center) to the 1000. Awesome freaking center. Even just hooked up stock, standard center channel wired, is sounds awesome. If you wanted to tweak a little more bass, wire it with an LFE line in to it's powered sub.

I've also got mine hooked up with just the speaker wire and it rocks. This thing puts out a ton of bass for a center. My setup disk had the pictures on the wall rattleing with just the center speaker. As for bi-amping its not possible. The jumpers only supply signal to the sub amp when no line level input is used. The amp only powers the sub. Marty

Thanks gentlemen. Would it be ok to set the center crossover on the Lex to 40 HZ or should I use 80?

Would think it better to use 80, think anything much lower than that should be directed to your
    subwoofer (stand alone).
Would think too much vibration can't be good for a television.
