Anyone ever listened to a set of Snells? I knew a guy in college that had a set of their bookshelfs in his car of all places...
Anyway, I've never been able to listen to any of their stuff...just curious if anyone here has and what you think...

I've never heard them, but apparently my uncle has a pair of Snell's. My cousin's (her dad own's the Snells) husband (who is the only person I know that is into audio) has heard them and he says they sound pretty good. I think my uncle's set is pretty old though. I've read some good things about Snell...
Did you follow all that?
My cousin's brother's uncle's former roommate twice removed knew a guy who owns some.Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15 -
I'm gonna go see if I can find a place around here to listen to some this weekend...

I got to listen to a few pairs this weekend.
Now I've not listened to every speaker out there, but I've listened to a bunch, many of which were high end costing thousands of dollars.
I can honestly say without reservation that the Snells I listened to are the best sounding pair of speakers I've ever heard.
I listened to their higher end series, the XA Reference towers at about $30 grand a pair...I really have good ears and don't see how anything could sound better than those...the problem with these speakers becomes the actualy quality of the source recordings...
Anyway, I also got to listen to the XA 90ps and the cheaper XA 60 also sounded awesome...still better than anything by any other manufacturer I've ever heard.
Even the E.5mk2 at $1500 a pair is just a fantastic speaker...I really don't know why more people haven't heard ot these guys, maybe it's be design.
I still think Polk is the best speaker per dollar you can buy...but if you're looking to spend over $1500 on a set of speakers, you REALLY should give Snell Acoustics a listen...
