OK all, after much debate and with the help of some great advice on this forum, I have decided to get the NAD C272 amplifier to hook up to my NAD 763 reciever and am going to purchase a LSiC center speaker for now and when I get some more coin after the summer, complete my HT setup with a pair of LSiFX surrounds. I am really hoping the C272 will make my LSi25's sing. I'm going to purchase it this coming Saturday, so if anyone has any last minute suggestions or insults about my decision, please feel free to add your two cents. I'm always open to suggestions.

The more I think about this, the more I have to agree with Mark about how much of a difference you'll see. The specs on both are similar..so you've got a 50/50 shot of seeing improvement, even with bi-amping.
Give it a shot and let us know what you come up with... -
Now that I'm thinking of it, here is possibly a stupid question. If I hook up the C272 to the T763, will the amplifier section of the T763 be used in the amplification process or will the C272 be handling all of the power? Not a electronics guy, so sorry if this is a dumb questionMusic and Movie Rig

It depends on how you hook it all up. If you use a bi-amp configuration, you'll be using both the receiver and amp to power your front speakers.

The C272 will not use up power from the amplifier section of your receiver. It will only consume power from the pre amp section of the receiver.
Ask the store if they allow in home trials. Even though the specs may be similar, IMO the 272 should sound better than the amps in your receiver. Look at the size of your receiver with 6 onboard amps and look at the size of the 272 which contains only 2ch amplification.

Excellent choice in NAD, either way you are a winner.
Use the pre-outs for connections, AC power should come from the wall, not the switched accessory outlet on your T763. Is that what you are talking about?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
