PSW505 amp bad?

I bought in 2017 and it recently started to crackle with a low humm. Light is red and I can hear a faint distorted sound coming from it. I really have loved this sub and want to do whatever I can to get that beautiful sound back! Guessing the plate amp needs to be replaced so are there any options?

    I have 2 polk psw505 subs on my home entertainment system and one does not power on no more it makes a thumping sound and makes fizzle sound and that's all I really loved the sound from it i t sounds like the amp went my serial number is am850569485 and I purchased it on Feb 16th of 2016 and would really like to try to get it working again

    Well like all good karma, my PSW505 gave out a loud snort (pop) and died a few days ago. Smelled the "Allen Bradley" waft from the amp (old timers joke). This unit was 2.5 months out of warranty and Polk responded that they couldn't help me. So what options do I have? This sub matches my M40/M10 speaker setup in my family room. I would prefer to keep it as it works well in this capacity, so I will be looking for a replacement plate amp. I am also considering moving some gear from another room and get the upgraditis itch for the HT, but for my family room that is overkill. Thanks...
