yamaha rx-v1300 to power sda-1a?

I am considering buying MSkeezers' rx-v1300 to power recently purchased sda-1as and am wondering if this would be a good purchase. The price seems like a good deal and it would allow me to upgrade to surrond sound. It also has component video switching even if it is from only 2 sources and preouts on all channels. Sounds great to me but as I am new at the whole nice audio equipment thing I would love some feedback on if this would be good and/or suggestions on other recommended equipment. Thanks.

Derek, if you like the detailed sound, I say go for it. The Yamaha is a good deal at that price.
