Adcom GFP-750

I’ve been hunting one of these for years....if any has a line on one, I am most interested.

A Parasound p/ld 2000 would be interesting as well but I’m intrigued by the Adcom.

What is a driver card? If this is in the signal path I'd be worried that "replaced with a modern equivalent" affects the sound that the original designer wanted. Plus ALL the electrolytics should have been replaced because "In spec" doesn't particularly mean "sounds good". But hey these are cool regardless!

You should see if @treitz3 still has that Cary CPA-1 pre. That surely would be equivalent and in your price range.

Try a Cambridge Audio 840E. That is the pre I had before the Pass, and it sounds great. Last year my Pass broke so I had to use my 840E in its place, and it was very close to the Pass.

They are probably referring to the optional printed circuit board for the balanced input that goes where the blank cover is on models without this feature.
