Hi again peeps .

Just came back from my local (Pasadena , Calif) CC to pick up the new Lord of the Rings ROTK DVD today and saw that the price for the PSW303 (BRAND NEW) was reduced down to $149.99 !!!
Not sure if this deal is nation wide , so check your local CC and see if this deal is available in your area (if your in the market for a sub) .

Good luck ... ;):D

*EDIT*

I too am looking for a deal on a pair of RTi6's if anyone one finds one . (preferably from CC as to trade-in my RTi28's w/the upgrade policy)

You guys in Texas dont have it all that bad after reading THIS thread (LSi7's @ Fry's $199 a pair ).*drooling*

If you need a sub badly enough , let me know and I'll see if I can grab you one . Just PM and I'll see what I can do . Shipping to Texas may kill the deal though . I have some e-bay and Heatware references if you need , as Ive not been a Polkie for that long .

    *note*
(Heatware.com is like e-bay references , but for buy/selling computer gear at pc forums)

    ;)

    Got three pairs yesterday... :)

Now I'm going to go and see if I can get that free sub (202) that they forgot to give me yesterday. Phantom, want to buy it? Where in TX are you?

I'm in Austin. A 202 is a bit smaller than I had hoped for but if the price is right I'd definitely consider it. I'd probably see if I could score a 303 or bigger first (at 150 the 303 seems like a good deal)

Stereo55, do you have any idea what shipping would be like for the 303? If it is not too much I would definitely consider it.

Fry's wouldn't give me the sub anyways, said some sorry excuses which is understandable considering how much the LSi7's cost me. It was still over the $499 value.

" While supplies last, can get a FREE PSW202 Powered Subwoofer (a $250 retail value) with any Polk Audio home speaker purchase of $499 or more, OR selected dealer-specified systems. "

Fry's gave me the same line a couple years ago, they were running the same promotion, free 202 or free pair of R20's. I wanted the R20's and had purchased enough for the freebie but they wouldn't give it to me. I spoke with a manager and said that I would be returning all $600+ speakers and buying elsewhere if they didn't give it to me. Only took him a couple seconds to tell the sales associate to give me the free speakers.

BUT, since your deal on the 7's is so great I don't think you can use the same argument :)

Yes, I'm just happy with the deal I got. One friend missed on getting these, I might have to sell one pair to him. There goes my option of replacing RTi70's as my surround setup. I was toying of the idea of putting 5 LSi7's around my theater paired with SVS 16-46PCi. I am currently using 3 * RTi70 for front and center and Yamaha bookshelfs as surrounds. Now I'll put one pair of LSi7's as surrounds and get rid of the Yamaha's.

I was thinking the same here....they had the 6700 with the 303 but if someone was to buy this in CAD its 999$ therefore you qualify for the free 202 cause it's over 749$ CAD....wonder if the dealer would go for that.......

Just checked shipping from your zip to mine (78749).

Fedex ground is cheapest at about $18.

Let me think about it. I was also considering picking up a "Dayton Audio" 10" 100watt sub from Partsexpress.com for $124 shipped. Maybe I'll start another thread asking for some advice :p

    No problem . :) .

I should also mention that I will be leaving out of town about 10am/12 noon PST this thursday (5/27) as Iam doing an ongoing house move . I tell you this as a courtesy and I do not want to pressure you into anything , just to make you aware of the fact that time is limited (as is possibly the sale/availability on the PSW303) . Sorry , I guess I should have posted this fact earlier .

I guess I can always grab one and hold on to it just incase ; as I can always just return it .

*note* Sorry I just noticed I put "area" code , when it should have said "zip" code (post was edited) . LOL

    Thanks for the offer Stereo55.

I've made up my mind and I'm just going to pick up the Dayton sub from partsexpress. It seems to be the best bang for the buck sub and cheaper as well.

    Thanks again.

There is only one CC store in Pasadena .

The Pasadena store is just south of the 210 frwy on Rosemead Blvd . Coming from LA area , take the 210 E to Rosemead Blvd and get off at the Rosemead Blvd "SOUTH" off ramp (NOT the NORTH off ramp) . The SOUTH off ramp will take you DIRECTLY to CircuitCity
(just follow the south off ramp along the frwy 1/8 mile to the STOP sign . You can ONLY turn RIGHT at the stop sign . DIRECTLY after that turn is the CC lot on your right hand side . you CANT miss it )

*you should be able to see the CircuitCity sign from the frwy*

Just picked up a pair of Ebony 7's for $216 with tax at Fry's in Plano. Guy said he had about a dozen pair left.

    Cheers,

Yes is was POSTED . There was regular (printed/red and black) CC sign on the floor saying :

    Regular price = $300
    Sale price = $200
    NOW = reduced to $150 !
    CLEARANCE ITEM
    (limited quantities)

the sign was up there yesterday (tues) while I was picking up the new LOTR dvd . I checked out the whole section . The sale sign for the PSW303 was DIRECTLY on top of a some SEALED retail boxed PSW303's .

If you walk in the front door , take a direct RIGHT (towards the customer service booth) . There against the wall will be floor demos AND other REDUCED items on CLEARANCE SALE (BRAND NEW) .

    *edited*
some of the "clerks" at the Pasadena store are NOT the greatest
I very recently purchased a floor model of a 32"Panasonic TAU tv to be delivered . I found out the next day it was sold AGAIN to ANOTHER customer by mistake . Its a long story ....
( BUT , the manager SAL is very good and a nice guy).

    Thanks,
I went by and it was there just like you said. I guess some reps just look on the computer and don't go the extra 6 ft.

    For $150, I am a happy camper.

No time to hook it up tonight. I hope I don't get the upgrade bug for a 10 or 12" model.

Now that it is out of the box, how do I properly set this puppy up? I have an integra 5.4 dtr receiver.

I guess I connect a subwoofer cable from the 5.4 sub out to the subwoofer. LFE or line in? What setting for phase? What setting for power and volume?
