Anybody have experience with this sub? I'd like to know how it performs especially against the PSW650. I know it can reach down to 18hz which is a plus but other than that I don't know anything about the Pdigm.

If you listen to alot of music the paradigm2200 is the answer vs the polk, the polk in my opinion offers good but boomy bass when it comes to music.I really enjoyed my 2200,dug deep for home theater, nice clean extension, filled in beutiful with music.I compared it to my svs and aside from the spl that the svs puts out it definately held its own.Still very popular and garners great reviews where ever you look.I have not heard the newer model which is rated at 400 watts vs 250 for the one i had,so it should be even better.

Thanks for the info Racer. A friend of mine is selling his 2200. I think I'll demo it when I'm ready. I listen to music in my system 98% of the time.

Not sure about the power rating. I don't think they made a new version. I've heard 250w RMS and 400w Peak.

    organ,

I have the newer version Paradigm PW-2200 V.2, it has the 400 watt RMS / 1500 watt peak amplifier in it. This sub is a beautiful unit for the money. Sounds great.

Thanks for clearing that up Glemay. I'll have to find out which version he has. I'm 100% satisfied with my 650 but more extension would really improve the sound.

Maurice - I originally upgraded to a Polk PSW404 - took it back after a week - and audtioned and subsequently bought the PW2200 V.2 - this speaker is unbelievable - very loud (I can only put it about 10:30 before the wife get's upset :) ) and very clean. Goes much deeper than any Polk Sub (at least in the ratings) and also looks a lot better. The V.2 has been out about year now, maybe a bit less, so if your friends sub is older than that is it probably the 250 watt version - haven't heard that one.

Is there any chance you can bring it over and A/B it to your 650?
