RIP Jud Barber

I am sorry to pass along the news of the passing of another great Hi-Fi industry member. I have just learned that Jud Barber passed away of natural causes late last year (from what I know he was around 85 years old). Jud's preamps and OTL power amps have brought joy to many and still do so today. Best described as a southern gentlemen, Joule-Electa was Juds second career after working for years as a project engineer. His life long love of tube circuits, Hi-Fi and music drove him to make a great series of preamps and OTL power amps. For me, this is also the loss of a friend and mentor. He will be very much missed.

RIP Jud

Having enjoyed the fruits of his labor I say thank you and surely you will rest in peace.
