for the past 7 mths the sub had been sitting on the carpet with its lil rubber feet (202). This weekend I found 2 pieces of MDF painted them black and put them uner the sub. I found the sub to sound better can this be true or did is just hear the dif cause I wanted to hear a diff.??

This can be true. The sub has a slightly stronger base so it isn't moving around that much losing energy. A lot of people will use a concrete or marble slab to help the sound in this regard. Either of those should offer quite a bit more of the same type of improvement that you heard.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Hey guys, thanks for the info. Never thought of that. Always thought my bass was a little lacking. I have to give that a try as well. (a piece of marble would look nice).
