Demo Psw505 @ Cc , Do I Buy $209
Hi guys , semms CC has started reductions on the current RTi line and others (with CC not carrying the RTi line in the future) .
I talked to my local CC manager and they have a demo PSW505 there that he will sell me for $209 . There is cosmetic damage on the top back corner (veneer is missing by about 3/4 -1 " square) . The rest seems fine .....
Should I pick this up ? Need replies ASAP
*note*
(I already do have a unopened PSW303 from Cruthfield , that has past the 30 day return period)
What ya think ?
TIA

I would get it. If its junk, you've got 30 days to return to CC. No way a 505 can be beat for $209.

I'd go for it as well...

OK , I just grabed the 505 for $209+tax ( TOTAL =$227.29)
I checked the sub over again and the veneer that is missing (TOP/LEFT/REAR CORNER) measures only 1/2" square . The driver and grill look fine , and there are also about 5 very minor "dings" on the rest of the cabinet ; but they are not deep at all and are quite hard to see unless you are really upclose and in very brite direct light starring at the cabinet. ( I'll try and post a pic later on and see what ya think )
I too will test it out tonight or by tomorrow with the new released dvd Lord of Rings- ROTK to make sure the driver is good .
Boy this is going to be overkill for my little HT/bedroom setup , but it seemed to hard of a deal to pass on .
Anyway , thanks gents for QUICK responses to my post ; much appreciatedSDA-2B's ~ Pair SDA-CRS's ~ ,*** Main listening: Maggies MG1 ~ Polk SDA 2B's ~ Monitor 10's , 3-pairs (2 pairs moded into SDA's w/SDA-2B/CRS cross-overs) , * DCM TF600's * Mission M71/M72 *** Main brdrm FRT: RTiA-5's /Presence RTi-4 / LSI-704 Cntr / Rear FXI3's ~~~ Assorted Main listening rm : , 2- Heathkit W-5M /tube mono blocks (Parasound P/HP-850)* * 2- Altec Lansing 1590b's/mono blocks (Yamaha C-45) * CM Labs 35D * Dynaco ST-70 ~ Occasionally ~* Yamaha CR-820/A-760 ,* Sansui AU-317/AU-217 * Carver 900 rec *2-Dynaco ST 120* 1 Hafler DH-220* Marantz 1040 ... more -

If you're worried about money after buying the PSW303 I'd say buy the PSW505 and then put the 303 up on eBay. If it's sealed you should be able to get around $200 - $220 for it.Home:
