LSi Center lacks crisp highs

I just received my LSi Center and hooked it up. My first thought was that the highs were lacking. Mid's (toms on drums and driven guitar) were great. Low's were surprisingly good. But the highs (cymbals, and spoken words like s's and t's...sibilance) were less than adequate for my taste.
I hooked up my Tannoy Reveal monitors and did a comparison. The highs were there. Way more accurate than the LSi C, although not nearly as much bass. But definitely a more "real" sound.
My complaint is this: I paid $350 for the pair of Tannoy's, and $570 for the LSi Center. For a center channel speaker, where the most important information is for a movie, you should have all the highs and crispness of dialog present. However, the mids for male voices (and female voices for that matter) are very acceptable. And depth and detail are excellent. And since my system includes the LSi15, LSi Fx, and LSi7's, I pretty much have to have the center to match. I wonder if the crossover change a while ago changed the details in the high frequencies (above 2k or so)?
My grade for the LSI Center....B-

did you set up your speaker with a SPL meter already? give the center time to break in.. about 70 or so hours of use will do just fine.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I'm running the LSiC with my Harmon Kardon AVR 430. Rated at 65 w/ch. I know it's not a lot, but it'll work for now till I can upgrade to seperates. I have not set up the levels. Can you guys recommend a good one?
