Bought two pair of LSi7's... quick question

Fry's Electronics here in Dallas had them for $199 a pair reconditioned, though they appear absolutely new in the box, never touched, with the full 5 yr warranty. That is a SMOKIN' deal! I bought two pair for the living room to use as my front and rear surround speakers and so far I'm extremely pleased with them! I'm still using a reference series Klipsch center channel because I've not been able to find anything under $1500 that sounds as good, but I definitely like the range and mid of the Polk over any of the Klipsch bookshelf speakers.

Picked up a Sony ES series 400 DVD changer as well and am STILL trying to get all the movies into the Pronto TSU-3000.

Oh well, I'm new to the forums so just thought I'd say hi and let those in Dallas know that Fry's has these speakers at about $500 off!

Great speaker, get rid of the Klipsch center and buy an LSiC. :)

    EDITED: TYPO, TY PW.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Yep they're LSi7's. Got the boxes right here. They were available in cherry or an ash black finish. I went with the cherry. They really do sound fantastic.

I'm looking for a new sub now... thinking of either KEF or ? Everything's connected to a 46" Samsung Tantra DLP HD / Onkyo / Sony ES series 400 DVD changer / Pronto TSU3000 remote. Kind of a mix and match but I really like each component for it's own reasons and I likst to do my research before I buy any component. Typically I've found that buying all items of the same brand only looks better, but does not generally sound or perform better (although I do agree with voice matched speakers)

P.S. Outpost.com is Fry's website. Not sure if they're on there or not. Otherwise look up Fry's Electronics and see their locations. I don't know if they'll ship or not, but I'm tempted to go back and buy two more pair 'just to have' at $199 a pair!!!

I'll try and go by there today and check it out as well. This is the Fry's on 635 correct? If there are a ton leftover, maybe some of us Dallas Polkies can send out some speakers...?

Yeah on 635 or I75. They both had a couple pallets. They're absolutely mint brand new. I haven't gotten the exacts on why they're 'reconditioned' but they carry the full 5 yr warranty and were sealed in the box from Polk.

The guy at Fry's couldn't believe they were priced that low. You really should call the two stores and see if they have any left, and ask them to hold them for you. Otherwise I'm sure they're going to sell out fast.

    Take care,

Anyone: After taxes they are $215... Anyone want me to make a visit? You'd cover shipping of course. I-75 and Plano store has 6 pairs of cherry and 8 of ash left.

Like I said, you'd pay shipping but it shouldn't be a problem. I'll try and locate another box to double box them in so that you save the original boxes from some of the wear and tear.

Just PM me if you want me to do anything.

A friend just bought two more pairs of the Cherry. They said they had a bout a pallet left. Not sure how many that is, but probably at least 10 pairs.

Anyone wanting to figure shipping, here iis the info:
    Polk Advertised weight: 50lbs
    Approximate Dimensions: 24"X18"X12" (Guessing here)

I'll try and double box with some good boxes from work which will push up the cost a bit on shipping. (5 punds and pobably 28X24X16)

From 75081 Tips are welcome, but not expected... :)

I went in today to pick 3 pairs. I'd probably use one pair as surrounds for RTi70's, one pair goes to bedroom and the third most likely will be setup for my computer. Awesome sound for the money. I think I got 2 or 3 friends to buy them as well.

No, you can't for this price. Turns out I have to go back tomorrow and claim my free sub which will go for sale. I don't think I'll need another sub anywhere in the house.

Where in Dallas are you located?

I'm actually in Ft. Worth on the Fossil Creek Golf Course if you know where that is. I didn't hear anything about a free sub? What's up with that?

Fossil Creek, I might have played there a few years back, not sure. The free sub is for Polk purchases of $499 and more: http://www.polkaudio.com/home/promo/freesubwoofer/
