Hi Guys,
Cleaning out the closet and have some stuff for up for grabs:

Lauderdale, FL). Comes with original manual and baffles. Spikes upgraded to Dayton audio for better sound floor.
$380 plus delivery or pickup.

CS350LS: Former top of the line center. Original owner. Mint condition. Original manual and baffle.
$180 + shipping takes it.

Furnitureworks 4-shelf rack. Excellent condition. Selling due to too many components. Will hold 50 pounds per shelf. Hoping for local pickup but can be shipped unassembled.
$90 + shipping.

Speaker stands: adjustable. Very good condition.
$35 + shipping.

Please email me if interested: likecoiledsteel@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Best Regards,
Jeremy

    Jeremy,

Can you PM me your info, I could use the rack for my 2ch and the stands look like they are nice also, I need to see if a family member who lives in Davie will pick things up for me. Are the rack shelves fixed or adjustable?

    Hi PolkWannabie,
Do you have the full SRT system? I think the center channel and surrounds are similar to the cs350 and my ls/fx. But I think that the SRT center is not ported in the front. I found it can also handle 1000 watts wow.

I have the towers w/modded subs, the center and the SDA Surrounds (See Pic) which are not bi/dipoles but instead more like mini versions of the fronts. The center is not ported but is a beast at 40+ pounds.

EDIT: Sorry for the semi-hijack response ... and now ... back to our regularly scheduled items for sale.

    Hey Wannabe,
Thats cool. I think that the 16's and the SRT do have the same tweeter. I am still using my ls/fx'x as surrounds.

How do you like the LS F/X's ? ... I've been looking around for something to put in place of the FXi5's I now have for the sides which are really are part of an RTi set. I have tossed around ideas of either getting a pair of LS F/X's or F/X 1000's which would be slightly different but probably not noticeably so. I've come close on a couple of pairs of the 1000's but haven't landed one. The LS's are or course significantly less expensive.

I'd take the 16's off your hands for matching tweeter to use in the rear but then would have nowhere to go with the SRT surrounds I have which I like very much.

    Hi Wannabie,
I like the ls/fx. They always served my purposes. I use them for movies in a 5.0 system. I live in a condo and don't need the extra bass. What is the difference betwwen the SRT surrounds and the ls/fx? They look the same. I have an old SRT brochure, the center looks like my cs350 minus the front ports, the surrounds look the same though.

They do ? ... to me they look nothing at all similar ...

The SRT SDA surrounds are a pseudo conventional SDA speaker i.e. each having 2 tweeters and 4 drivers each of which are forward facing with an inside Stereo array and an outside SDA array and binding posts on the back for each. These are roughly 26" tall by 13" wide by 6" deep and weigh a good 35-40 pounds. The picture I included above is of two speakers i.e. one with and one without grills.

The LS F/X's unless I am mistaken have 2 tweeters and 2 drivers each with one of each on each side and a bi/dipole switch.

    Yes ?

    Like these, right ? ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14996&item=3095253038&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Yes, those are the ls/fx. The SRT brochure I have show a picture of rear surrounds that look identicle to the ls/fx. If I can find it, I will scan a pic for you. Sounds like the ones you have are totally different. Are you doing a 7.1 system?

Yes they are totally different ... The LS or RT F/X's came with the first incarnation of the SRT's, the SDA Surrounds came with the last incarnation and have the same grills as the towers. See picture below of system with SDA Surrounds to have a feel for the surrounds ( On right )

Yes I have a 7.1 setup with FXi5's currently doing duty on the sides. They're adaquete but there would be better choices.

I have 3 pair of the RT16's, but feel that they'd be wasted as a surround speaker. They are EXCELLENT front speakers........

    Hi Wannabie,
That explains it. I had the following picture in the SRT brochure I had. Must be the first series.

    Hi Brett,
3 pairs? wow. Thats dedication. I love my RT16's. Bought them new in 97', great performer with deep bass. I am only selling them due to an upgrade and need the space. I integrated my home theater and 2 channel into one system, other wise I would have kept these for a 2-channel only system, where they really shine.

Wasted ? ... Pointless for the sides I'd agree because of their dispersion characteristics but they'd serve well in the back if there were a fair amount of room between the seating area and the rears. In any case for me it's a non issue.

I think what it was is they had several different variations, all available at the same time. I can't remember now where I read this, but I think your version is called the 'Seismic' which was the best (?) variation they had. They had three, if I am remembering correctly, one of which was the version venom has.

Back to the thread, I think the rack and stands should be sold, great prices. Too bad shipping would totally kill it for me.

    Hi Guys,
Anthony, I am glad UPS dident bang up the 350. They banged up a sub I sent a few months ago so I pack extra thick just in case. I take a lot of pride in my equipment and try to take very good care of all of them. Glad you like the 350, let us know how it sounds.

    Update:
All sold except RT16's and Outlaw M200.
    Best Regards,

Well I have it in, and what a difference!! I was using a CSi40 for center duty, and it did a good job, but wasn't quite a match for the RT2000p's I use for mains. Now the front stage is timbre matched and you can tell! No subtle shift while panning. Excellent...

Great to hear that. The 350 mated perfectly with my RT16's. They use the same tweeter as your 2000's. From experience, I find that the 350 really likes power. I first used an Onkyo THX828 (90 watts) with it, it sounded good, but sometimes the dialog was muffled. I switched to an Outlaw M200 monoblock(200 watts) and it made a world of difference. Voices were very accurate and understandable. I now use an M200 to power my B&W center and it sounds great. If you can demo a higher powered amp vs. a receiver, do it. Made my movies much more enjoyable.

    Jeremy,

I'm running a Sunfire Ultimate Receiver. 7.1 - 200WPC (9.1 if I want to add amp....) Thing is a tank, too. Will CRANK for EXTENDED periods of time without so much as a ripple.

Just picked up a pair of RT f/x's for surrounds. Now I MIGHT put the 40 to use for a 6.1.

Thanks man. BTW what are you upgrading to???

    Hi Anthony,
That is some wicked receiver. I see reviews of the Sunfire ultimates sometimes in Sound & Vision or Home Theater Mag. Sweet AVR.

I upgraded my frontstage from the Polk RT line to the B&W CDMNT line. I have the:
    CDM7NT for the fronts
    CDMCNT for the Center

    Polk LS/FX surrounds

I also went from 5 Outlaw monoblocks running my 5 speakers to:
    Krell 250a for my mains
    Outlaw M200 for the center
    Adcom 535 for the rears

I use an Outlaw 950 pre/pro for my 5.1 listening, and a Krell 250p for 2 channel listening. The Krell 250p has a home theater pass thru that allows me to integrate both preamps into 1 system.
