PSW505 Not Connecting

Hi - My subwoofer PSW505 randomly stopped switching from standby to on mode. The sub does not turn green even if manually put on the On mode. There is distorted sound if played at a loud volume. On low volume there is No sound.

Any help much appreciated.

    Hello Mark,
    In all likelihood there is a problem with the subwoofer's amplifier (less likely is a problem with the 12" woofer's coils shorting out, but it is possible especially if you tended to be a fairly loud listener). In any case you should contact Polk at: 1-800-377-7655 option 1 and have the sales receipt handy when you call, if you've owned it less than three or less than five years.
