Bottlehead Quickie Pre Amp

Bottlehead Quickie. Original owner. It has upgraded Mundorf Supreme and Blackgate caps. Also, the stock volume pot was replaced with an Audionote potentiometer. Battery life is between 100 - 150 hour. It uses 2) 3S4 tubes. This flavor of tube is microphonic in nature. If you tap on the side of the base you can hear it ringing. Other than that it is dead quiet. It will include 3) sets of tubes. One set will be Brimar tubes that are by far the quietest of all the different brands I have tried. The purchaser can pick the other 2 sets from several other brands I have on hand. A coupe of different year RCA, RT, Sylvania and possibly some more - I will have to check. I will include the batteries that are currently in it. Not sure how much life is left in them. And, FWIW, Bottlehead recently retired the Quickie.
I used this primarily with a SS amp. For the money it is quite impressive. I sold my SS equipment and have currently been using a pair of BH 300B Paramount monoblocks. I did not like the way the Quickie and 300B's played together, so it has not had much use the past 8 months or so. It is in very good condition, and satisfaction is guaranteed.
Asking $250 or best offer plus shipping from 60914. It should not cost very much to ship, as it is not very heavy. Paypal friends and family.

I have one (still unbuilt)...
Worse than that, I have a brand new, unbuilt original Bottlehead "Foreplay" preamp in its original box a-sittin' in the basement. I bought it for my father to build, many (many) years ago -- he never did, I 'collected' it from his effects after he passed away, and now it's in my effects

Don't guess you'd be interested in selling the Foreplay would you? If so, let me know.
