Actually...there is no such thing as "the best of anything"...
but RExxx is definatly one of the Better subs
along with Digital designs -

9915 is a lot more than 5 bills.
i think the idmax in a 0.9 cubic foot box with 2,000 rms on it will do as well or better than just about anything else at or below 500 bucks for SPL.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -

Nada, you put a **** up to a max sealed in SPL, the max will lose. If you went ported with the max it will be decently close, but the **** will have more output.
18" **** IMO is the best SQL sub for under 500$
A solo-X is louder, but over the limit.
A used DD 9515 or 9915 would be your best bet. Look on ebay for them.Testing

For spl only I would choose the RE SX or RE MT over the ****. They both are more built for spl. The **** is built more towards sq that can get pretty loud.

you can get an RE MT for under 500, and they are made for spl.
