    yeah...

    well I dont blame them -- this place has lost its appeal

    my post average went from 10.40 to 9.80 in the past month

    not much fun anymore...not much audio going on

    Guys, this place is what we make it. This is an audio forum and has been a good one. A kind of laid back place which isn't too intimidating. Yes, there have been an influx of some "bad guys" around here lately but some have seemed to add fuel to the fire. This forum isn't about who is "king of the hill" or who gets the last word in on another member or who can pull out the trump card and play it in the most bluffing manner.

    Audio is what this place is supposed to be about. Maybe we've run out of things to talk about? Need more diversity? I mean we've been through the biwire debate numerous times. Wires, SDAs, LSis, what have you. Are people not learning here anymore and bailing?

    I say this. One thing the forum is here to help out the newbies. Yes we were all newbies at one point. There is a wealth of information for new members to search for but perhaps that shouldn't stop them from asking some simple questions no matter how simple the question is. Courtesy and personalized help is what that is.

    Too much BS going on in here lately. And for what? Absolutely nothing. Spinning tires in the mud is what comes to mind. Not accomplishing anything.

    So here I sit, wondering right now if these Svetlana 12AX7s are ever going to sound any better no matter how much time I put on them. Or are they just this overly warm?? Are the Sovtek 12AX7LPS more to my liking because they sound more detailed? How can this be? They cost roughly the same...

    So how do we get back on track. What are your thoughts about your system. What you like / dislike about it? Are you open minded enough to ask for the opinions of others without getting defensive? After all its your ears that matter in the end regardless of what anyone says. How can you make your system better? Have you demoed any new gear lately? Have you compared some other speakers side by side to Polk and what are your thoughts? There are plenty of things to talk about here guys. We just need the people not to give up and let the "bad guys" win this battle.

    Music...I like it ... do you? After a long and stressful day at work or whatever, music can take you somewhere else. You the user can choise the poison here. Do you want to relax or do you want to kick it up a notch. So much music out there to be enjoyed. In a modern world where we tend to hide our emotions all the time, music can set us free. It is our time to ourselves or to enjoy with others in any way we seem fit.

    Do it for the team. Can you say "Put me in coach."

    Sorry for the lecture but geesh all this gloom and doom lately has got to stop. Don't let the bad guys win.. that's what they are trying to do. It's time to call in trips left and hail mary folks.
