Bahamas Cruise

We are doing a cruise in March with stops at Nassau, Freeport and Norwegian's private island. First time cruisers. Any recommendations for shore excursions, must see tours, etc for Bahama newbies?

One of the best things I have done for my upcoming cruise was to find a FB page with the actual boat you will be sailing on. Read and research using the search feature and copying any notes/links or things of interest on a One Note page or similar electronic notebook. Then ask any questions that you may have that was not covered.
Over the course of the past couple of months, I feel as if I have already been on the boat and its excursions. Tons of photos, links, prices, suggestions, knowledge, what to do while abroad as well as what NOT to do while abroad (Like wear camo, for instance).
You can find real reviews by folks who have actually been there, done that. Looking forward to the Bahamas myself.

Been to Freeport many times sine 2001. If you have time, get a cab, go to Bernie’s near Island Seas resort if you want an “off the (tourist) path” place to get a Bahama Mama, beer, and the freshest grilled lobster, snapper, or grouper. He and his wife have a shack right on the water. They’ll mix you a drink and cook a meal made to order. I assume they’re back up and running since the hurricane since it’s an area that was spared from the worst of the storm.
That’s not Bernie behind the bar, but I do know some of the other beach bums in that picture.
