I'm pretty excited about these. Hopefully they update their CX and MX product lines as well. Not much info out yet.

I have a "2020" Yamaha receiver... but it's far from new.

PS I liked the "Cyclops" comment in one of the replies at that avsforum thread.

What is old is new again! :D

I actually like the big knob in the middle. I love symmetry.

Nice Yammy you got there btw

Thanks. The CR-2020 was/is a pretty decent sounding stereo receiver.

Yamaha's integrated amplifier knobs got pretty big in the late 1970s... not centered, though.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread, now! :)

I think they look kind of.... bad. Not bad maybe but worse than before.

They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Kind of the D'Agostino look, sans the steampunk.

It looks like their higher end models, Aventage, have a square front which I think looks a bit better. Honestly I ended up going with Yamaha about a year ago because they most similarly matched the sound and aesthetics of the old Harman Kardon receivers I had which I liked but were getting long in the tooth, and this still follows that aesthetic.
