SDA SRS 2 - Interconnect Wire

I just inherited a pair of SDA SRS 2 speakers and the interconnect wire doesn't seem to make a difference in sound. Who could I contact to have a look at them?

And do you own an electrical multi-meter or know someone who does?
If not, is there a "Harbor Freight" near you? They have cheap 5.00 ones.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
