Howdy Folks and Happy New Year
Currently have the latter and am very happy with the sound in both HT and 2 channel, but like the XLR inputs and pre outs (front anyway) on the Yammie. Can utilise the inputs for my Cambridge Audio 851C CD player and the XLR pre outs to an Emotiva XPA2.
Running LSiM 707’s, 706C, LSiM fx plus LSi7’s for surround back duty. Is it worth the upgrade to the later model Yammie or with my current speaker set up, am I better sticking with the Denon? As stated, I am happy with the sound already and don’t want to go backwards with an ‘upgrade’. For HT, I have been told Yammie’s new AI feature is the best thing to come out in years, and I know they always sound good in HT, but want the satisfaction of knowing 2 channel will still be as impressive as the Denon.
Thanks in advance for your input 😍

I would not make a switch unless you make the jump to Yamaha CX-a5200/MX-5000. This would be a solid step up.The Gear... I'd stick with the Denon, no real upgrade from the beast mode AVR.
Going separates to either a Yamaha or Marantz pre amp and your choice of amps would be about the only step up.
I'd dump the PSW505 for an SVS or HSU sub way before thinking of changing the AVR.When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
