    I've looked around, and can't find a definitive answer. Can you use both the balanced and unbalanced at the same time? Specifically to use the balanced out to an amp and unbalanced to a sub.

    The silver sounds better, but this is still an amazing value! ;) Seriously, the volume control alone is worth the price of admission, and the DAC is very versatile/powerful. And don't discount the headphone jack for private/quiet listening sessions.
