Awesome! I just picked up a set of SRS's not too long ago and swapped out the tweeters. Profound improvement. XO's eventually. Lot's of folks here have done that as well.

    Welcome!

By now those caps will be quite bad.
Biggest change you can make to make these sound better.

We used Dayton caps on one set of ours and compared to the old original caps, it made a huge difference in treble and clarity.

Some members use more boqique caps, and found our big pair have those type, but both types sound great to us.

welcome to all the new guys/gals. Might help further if you introduce yourselves in your own threads, state your interests, maybe where you'd like to see your system improve to. We are pretty darn good at spending other peoples money as already stated.

....and we like to have fun, joke around, so thin skinned people usually come and go. Ask questions, get to know the vast personalities that reside here, make some lifelong friends in the process. You won't find a better bunch of audio nuts this side of the crazy house. Enjoy the forum.

  • Welcome hammernhank. This thread reminds me of what a procrastinator I am. I have all the parts I need to upgrade (caps, resistors, dynamat, powergrab, hurricane nuts...) except for the RDO-194's that I waited too long to acquire, but still haven't started any work on my SDA SRS's. Maybe this winter.

Get a call in and find out for sure. Then order 12-15 of them 😉
I'm under the impression more are coming soon, so you're not S O L .....yet.
  • I just looked at Midwest Speaker and they now show the RDO-194 is on Back Order. ETA is Feb/March 2022. Keeping my fingers crossed.
