Gig Equipment Questions.

Hey guys, I'm a complete Audio newbie, so keep with me whilst I try to explain.

I've been asked by a friend to research some audio equipment for use at a small-gig that they're doing soon. They're a rock band with the following:

2x Guitar
1x Bass Guitar
1x Drummer
2x Vocals.

I'm not sure whether or not the drummer will need any amplification, as he does play pretty loud.
1) Will this affect the quality of the sound?
2) Will there be much of a delay?

Mixer
We have a choice of mixing desk:
Soundcraft F1 16 Channel Mixer
or
Yamaha 12-Channel Self-Powered Mixer.

3)Which mixing desk do you think would be best for us to use?
Keeping in mind the number of inputs, and that we want to be able to control the levels from each input individually, with possibly guitarists using effects pedals before reaching the mixer.

AMP
We have a choice of:
Yamaha 12-Channel Self-Powered AMP
or
D & B e Pac 230v Stereo AMP

4)Which AMP do you think would be better for us?

We're also looking at:
D & B E3 Loudspeaker
D & B E12 Sub Bass Loudspeaker
as our speakers.
5)Any comments as to the quality of these?

Keep in mind that as we're renting this equipment we'd have to get pretty much everything from the same place, otherwise it will be hell to organise.
6)Is there anything that I have overlooked?

Almost forgot to mention, we're looking at around 100-150 people in a small hall as the audience.

Cheers.

I don't know anything about the pro stuff but the small my favorite small venue is equipped with Adamson Pro Audio speakers. Stacks of their Y-10 on top of the subwoofers. Very clean and dynamic sound.

You haven't even mentioned micrphone selection and that makes a big difference too. The best thing to do would be to get as much advice as possible from the person you are renting the gear from as he wants you to sound good so that you will be happy, get more gigs and rent again.
    Good Luck, Phil
