Center for RTi38s
What centers would be good for these? I will have 4 RTi38s as fronts/rears and am looking to get a used center.
Would a CS400/i or CSi30/40 or CSi3/5 all be ok choices?

Get the Csi40.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
"God grooves with tubes." -
CSi40 is best matched for those speakers, but any of them should sound good.

It seems that the CS245i would be the easiest to get ahold of, how well thought of is that speaker?

The CSi40 rocks!!
I wish I had 5 of them

The 245 was the mid-level of the centers a couple of years ago. The CSi-40 was their top model and will hold its own with even their largest towers. I would look for a 40 since it is upgrade proof and you could add some RTi 70s when you get 7.1 and move your 38s to sides and rears. That would be a sweet setup!

hehe that sort of upgrade wont happen for some time (to RTi70s), but yeah, I'm glad the CSi40 seems to be so popular and well liked! Very encouraging, makes me feel as if the 200+ i'll end up spending on one will be worth it for the long run. Hopefully this system will last me a long while!
BTW i use a dayton 10" sub for anyone who was wondering. -
I thought the same about my upgrading, I started out with RM 7300 satellites, driven by a JVC Receiver viewed on my 35" Sony Trinitron.
Then came the RT 25s, RT55s and finally the 70s on either side of my 92 inch wide front projection screen. I fill the center with a great old CS350LS. I use RT/FX sides and moved my 55s to the rears. All driven by a Harman Kardon AVR7200. Bottom end is a Dual Shiva 10 cubic foot EBS driven by 320 watt plate amp.
Upgradeitis was bad last year at my house!
Thank God I am through for awhile!
You should be happy with any of the 245, 300, 400, 30 or 40 models that Polk has had in recent past.
Good Luck,

how does the dayton sub sound? i just noticed the 10" sub is on sale right now from parts express for $109, and i've got a code for free shipping.
sounds like a good deal if the sub is worth anything. -
Its AWESOME! I'd say its better than the 200 dollar polk sub and many other low budget subs by far. This little guy packs one heckuva punch. I just talked one of my other friends getting into Hi-Fi to get one over other (what he calls brand name) subs! HE LOVES IT
