Just got a Schitt EQ today.............

Going to use it to try and tame the shout from my full range speakers.
It only has 4 EQ knobs, but two of them are at the precise frequencies where my Dayton's peak at. (4000 & 8000 Hz)
It's getting delivered tomorrow.

Heh. The 8k notch might even help a pair of Cornwalls.

What speaker exactly... A diy project or one pre made?
  • I have two pair of full range home made speakers.
One pair is a combination of Tannoy studio monitor cabs, paired to some Dayton Audio 6.5" full range drivers.
The other I fashioned from some 1962 Lafayette sealed cabs, which I mated to a pair of 1967 CTS (blue) full range speakers (from RS).
They sound pretty damn good for a throw together project.
Today, I played around with the Schitt EQ and mapped out on paper the best setting for each speaker pair.
It's a great little box and only the size of a pack of cigarettes !

Nice pickup, I like my Schiit stuff. Very pleasing, and nice designs, too.

That must be a big pack of cigarettes!
The Loki I have is more like the size of a pack of 3x5 index cards.
