Dilemma, new or vintage
The bug has bit again and I'm looking for another pair of speakers. Which got me to thinking. I've never ever bought a pair of brand new speakers before. Always been vintage, or a few year old used models. I have dozens of pair of speakers ranging from Polk, Infinity, Mirage, DefTech, Mission, Celestion, Paradigm, Thiel to a few DIY builds that use Dynaudio and Morel drivers.
I've been looking at a pair of Infinity RS2.5's recently. And wondered it I shouldn't look for something newer. Can't afford the newest Polk speakers. But if I could find a pair of LSiM's locally (Georgia) I'd be happy. Seems Audorama doesnt have anymore new LSiM707's left.
I've heard 707's before and liked them, dont know how 705's compare though.
Hell, I'd settle for a pair of Lsi15's. lol
What would be a good choice with a $2000 or less budget?

I've seen a few speakers for sale around here I'd like to try out. But again, nobody is ever near me here in Georgia. And I don't have time for a road trip.--Gary--

Those speakers Skip is selling is basically the same thing as the Tyler Acoustics Taylos 7U's. Just a different cabinet (about the same dimensions) and I'm sure a different crossover, albeit slightly different. You can't change the parameters too much given that they have the same drivers.
I had the 7U's for a stint before I moved up the Tyler line. Fun little speaker.
