Agreed!! They should change the name too....a substantial percentage of the "artists" in there wouldn't know Rock if one rolled over them.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I liked the early Doobie Brothers' stuff quite a bit.
Michael McDonald sounds like a wounded water buffalo when he sings -- cannot stand him. :/

That's great, I'd like to see them!!

They should've been in there long ago, considering all the crappy artists that have been getting in over the last decade or so. To me the hall has lost a great deal of credibility...

I don't think it's necessarily an honor to be inducted anymore after all Janet Jackson is in there LOL!

You should definitely consider seeing them. It's not everyday the Doobie Brothers tour with Michael McDonald, and 'em guys ain't getting any younger. I would even say this may be the last time they will tour together.....not that they hate each other, more like time catches up with them.

Saw them with Chicago probably 5 -7 years ago, great concert. They combined to do "I'm a Man" to close out the night. It was a great ending to the concert. Needless to say, Michael wasn't with them then.
My wife and I went to one of her company events and they had Michael there. We have a picture of her and one of her co workers sitting within a few feet of him at the event while he was singing.

I thought "Minute by Minute" was a fabulous album. I never call anything fabulous cept you Doc, you are pretty darn fabulous... in a manly sort of way.

Doobie's 50th Anniversary tour...definitely will. You're right, ain't getting any younger (them...and me  ). The Eat a Peach SACD sounds fabulous.
Saw McDonald's solo Christmas concert @ the Strathmore, MD, around 2013. Enjoyed it. When I rep'd stereos in the 80's "I Keep Forgetting" was in heavy rotation to hook customers. Sold quite a bit of gear using his If That's What it Takes album! Thanks for the visual (and auditory) reference, @mhardy6647, never thought of MM sounding like a wounded water buffalo. If my concert's ruined I'm sending you the bill. LOL.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. Janet Jackson and Tupac are in, Motorhead and Judas Priest don't make the cut? Give me a break.
