I could not post Friday. Just got hit with the password reset so testing the waters.
I have seen instruments in the backgrounds of pictures so here is my impulse buy. 1939 Buescher Aristocrat series 1 "art deco" tenor.
Not a museum piece, but definitely good for décor and way better than expected. And it was just overhauled with new pads retaining original metal resonators and Norton gold springs. Even included original mouthpiece and brass plug. Sound is super sweet.
Happy Sunday. Hope the forum bugs go away.

My son just turned 13 and has been playing jazz on his alto so I got itchy. My horn needs some work so I picked up this one for $675 shipped. No original case but probably a $100 modern one was included.

Why do I hear Steely Dan's Deacon Blues playing in the back of my head whilst looking at this thread?

I've played all the saxes (still own an Alto) but the tenor was definitely my favorite...Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me
