Will she grow past that stage or is it permanent?
That's some kind of look she's giving you for sure. It's like she wishes she could talk. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Adorable doggie... she’s totally worth $80! Our last doggie incident was $7K, and she was still worth it!Alea jacta est!
-
She's a cutie!
-
My former Golden Retriever built the west wing of the small animal clinic at U of I to the tune of 14k. Or I should say.
-
That is the look of a dog who has its owner trained well.
-
Pit/shepherd mix, 37 lbs and done growing.
Guess about 2.5 years.
She's some sort of spoiled that's for sure.
Extremely good temperament. -
Ouch, those are some Vet bills....

oldrocker,
I had a cat about 20 years ago that had chin acne. It was very difficult to treat it; I would think your pup would be more accommodating. The only time I have seen it mentioned until now."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Anger is just anger. It isn’t good. It isn’t bad. It just is. What you do with it is what matters.
You can use it to build or to destroy. You just have to make the choice. Jim Butcher

Hazel is adorable; looks like a sweet dog who realizes those eyes can convince her owner to do anything!!!!!Shawn

Hey Dave do you feed her wet or dry food ?
-
Dry and since she doesn't drink a lot of water, I add a few ounces of water, nuke it for 15 seconds, stir it to make a gravy and she snarfs it down.
Fact, she knows the microwave beep, if you take to long getting it out, she'll sit right down in front of the stove, look up and bark.
I imagine she's thinking "hey dingus, foods done."
-
well that could be considered "wet" as you are adding water. That may be contributing to the acne. Try washing and drying her face when she is done to see if that helps.
-
Vet suggested stopping the water thing which I have.
Got her on Mometavet. A few drops on gauze, then the chin.
If not clear in a week or so, Vet will get her on an antibiotic. -
A couple weeks ago, cleaned out remaining plants in Daughters garden and pulled the Marigolds planted around it.
Took to my place, laid it all out on patio to dry to burn later and caught Hazel rummaging through it all which is about the time I noticed the bumps on her chin.
She's doing fine, just thinks she's people....
-
Try a warm water hibiclens wash once or twice a day as wellShawn

Well i must add water to Chester's dry food as he has always ate like a starving Ethiopian. The water lubricants and slows his eating. I would never microwave as I'm not too sure if that would eradicate the beneficial bacteria most foods add for gut health.

Happy to say Miss Hazel's fungus face is all cleared up.
Now if we can just stop the constant licking... -

My Coonhound constantly itches and licks and the vet suggested these pills. Drastically reduced her scratching and licking by about 90% I'd say. One pill a day for 2 bucks each.
-
Will ask the Vet about it.
Thanks
-
See, my chin is all better. -
Now give me that treat you promised me?
And where the heck is all the presents you tight wad?
-
Waiting on HER delivery from Chewy....

You're probably right. I'll have to ask the vet more about it. So far,I haven't noticed any side effects as of yet with my dog. Goldens are known to have allergy issues and my last Golden didn't have any allergies whatsoever. My Coonhound just itches constantly without Apoquel. She's 15 now so she's living on borrowed time but still going strong.

2020 not starting off that great.
It appears, Drama Queen Miss Hazel decided to eat the remaining Christmas candy.
The little santa shaped white chocolate covered peanut butter goodies.
Ate about 10-12 of them. Vet says since it's white chocolate instead of dark with peanut butter she should be ok. Probably throw up a little bit which she has.
Might hurt some coming out as she ate the wrappers also.

Ha my pup once ate a dozen chicken wings with the bones. Also had a couple fun size chocolate bars. Thankfully never hurt her a bit.
However she gets a little thread in her mouth from her chew toys and lord she acts as if it's her last day on earth.Just a dude doing dude-ly things
