Hi all. Been awhile.

My Adcom GFA 7000 is on hard times, I've got a rough quote for a cap/supply rebuild for 800. Quality refresh. I've been out for awhile. Pio sc 25 pre, lsi9 front with a Jim Ackley modded Lsi center, need a 4 ohm friendly amp. Rebuild or sell and start a new?

    Have you tried using the sc25 to power the speakers? I know the amp will probably give more power and clean the sound up but the sc25 is no slouch. Might be worth holding off on deciding and using the sc25.

    That parasound over the adcom all day and twice on sunday! Slightly warmer sound, much better bass, should be a nice overall upgrade for about the same coin.
