I am waiting for my new speakers to come in Lsi25,Lsic,Lsifx.
I will have to transport them for about 4 hours over bumpy back roads. My worry is the Lsi25s as I will have to lay them on their side. What will be better back, side or front. I thought back was better but in this instance the side firing woofer will be at a 90 to the stress from traveling. I have sent Polk an email and am waiting for their response. I just wanted to know if anyone has transported these speakers laying down or has a good idea as to how much stress these speakers can take. Thanks Henry

While I did not have the 25's, I transported my LSi15's from Indianapolis Indiana to Huntington, WV, about 320 miles. Mostly highway.

I had my LSi15's with the woofer faced down. I did put a double thick layer of cardboard over the woofer to insure that the woofer did not get torn or punched through. So....

the speakers made it fine, and sound great. I am not sure that I would recomend it, but you have to do what you have to do.

Side, Back, Top, Upside Down - honestly, it dosnt matter.

AS LONG AS - you use adequate amount of packing material, to keep it safe you know what I mean?

I mean when you ship these things VIA UPS or Fed Ex, with polks POS packing materials -- UPS or FedEx could care less if they throw it in that truck at an angle.......................with 600 pound boxes on top of it.

Just put stuff around it to keep it from getting damaged and you should be just fine.

I think Polk does a good job packing the LSi's. I've opened more than my share of them and haven't seen any damaged ever.
