Steak for Shrimp?

I was cleaning out the deep-freeze this evening and found one of those cheap shrimp-ring things...ya know, with the cocktail sauce in the middle! Defrosted it and almost gagged...they were still good, I think I'm just a little spoiled, my Grandparents used to live in Maryland, and would bring back a few cooler-fulls of fresh shrimp with them when they drove down. (I'm in Kansas now)....anyway, I'm looking over at my girlfriend, and she's inhaling these little guys like you wouldn't belive! She's never even seen the ocean, let alone had fresh shrimp.
Can any of you coasties help me out here, I'll pay for em, I just want to find some good ole shrimpies, packed frozen, and sent overnight express to Kansas!...(crazy **** eh?)
Or, if anyone wants to try a great steak, Kansas is where you need to be....I can be of assistance to any interested.
Thanks boys!

Well, not really. The local market has it, but it's been frozen, then thawed....er...and it's about $30 a pound!

you might try here Pike Place Market online

they have all kinds of seafood. and being a port city.. should have plenty of fresh Northwest seafood.

It's almost Copper River Salmon time. Mmmmmmm MMmmmmmm!

    What's the Big Deal?
Each May Pacific Northwest restaurants and markets herald the news - "Copper River salmon is here!" Copper River salmon? What is it? Why is everyone making such a fuss over it? One taste of this firm red fish, with its rich and nutty flavor, and you will understand why food lovers relish the three to four weeks that fresh Copper River salmon is available each year.
