I Have A Really Dumb Question.............

Here goes,if i set up my bass management on my dvd player to small speakers and sub yes and set my processor bass management to small speakers,sub crossover at 80 isnt this a double filter situation or am i just smoking something?....................I also am using the low pass filter on the sub also,do i have too many filters going on here?

    The BM circuit in the 2200 only affects the analog pre-outs, not the digital pre-out.

    Thanks for the info Dr.Spec,thats what i was kinda thinking but wasnt sure.Also i have another question,the rotel proc that i am using has what they call sub crossover,which is set at 80htz,does this mean that the sub is only getting info below 80htz and why does the sub graph and also sound better with the sub crossover also set at 80htz.Just curious................

    If you select 80 Hz for the pre/pro and the sub low pass, you are cascading the two filters.

    If you had a peak at 80 Hz, enabling the low pass on the sub can help reduce it, IF the user has the capability to analyze the FR before/after.

    Normally the LPF is disabled if you are using the pre/pro for BM.
