Dumb question

Probably a serious newb question... With the arrival of my new SVS I want to move my little Technics sub to another room to help out a pair of Boston bookshelves. Problem is the space between the entertainment center and wall is too narrow to put the sub in flat. Are there any issues with turning a sub on it's side?

    No.

If it was other than a front firing subwoofer, perhaps, and even then, negligible for that subwoofer model.

Aesthetics more than function would be applicable here...and that's user defined.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I honestly don't know if it's front firing or not. It's got 2-8's (100w) in a ported enclosure. Asthetically, other than the writing being sideways it doesn't look bad. Hey Doro, welcome back. I'm gonna have some ES specific calibration questions if I can quit listening to this damn SVS long enough to get out the Avia and meter :D

Ken - Thanks, no problem, I am always available for ES questions. Just go with the idea, for the application, it's an easy addition.

I am ordering an SVS tomorrow, looking forward to some solid bass for once in my life. Are you having fun with yours, lol? :D

You ARE in for a treat. Which one are you getting? I can honestly say I am hearing bass lines in music that I never knew existed. Right now I'm listening to Sammy Hagars latest studio release, Not 4 Sale. The entire house (3200 sq ft no less) is pulsating. It is freaking amazing. Grinning ear to ear!!:D :D:D:D:D:D:D

Ken- I haven't formally decided yet, just depends on what I feel like clicking on at the time. The PB2-ISD would fit my application best, as space constraints are the highest priority for me....but we'll see I guess. I am excited about the purchase...as many SVS's as they sell from this place, they should give a discount.

Dave - I know man, it's still a primary directive for me, but that subwoofer brand is just too hard to beat, across the board. That statement was before I experienced Grimster's PB2+....pretty humbling experience.
