It will be nice to have a streamer with Tidal integration. I currently stream using my Oppo 205. Since it doesn't have native Tidal support, I'm stuck connecting my laptop to it via USB or using BubbleUPnP on my phone as a controller. 99% of the time it's Bubble. That's always been a somewhat temperamental solution , but lately the dropouts & stoppages at the end of songs is really getting to be too much. Not to mention that gapless playback has never been possible unless I'm using the laptop.

I'm not convinced the CXN DAC will be better than the Oppo, but I'll find out.

Great seller here. I have this up and streaming from both Tidal and my NAS. Currently using it in preamp mode paired with a B&K ST125.2 while breaking in a new pair of bookies. Smooth as butter. Way better than trying to stream to the Oppo with a third party app

    Thanks Bob!

Very cool! I haven't used the pre-amp on mine yet, only streaming. What's your thoughts?

Since the 703's aren't nearly broke in, and it's currently setup in a less than optimal location in my shop, all I can definitely say is it's world's better than a Schiit Modi 2 Uber fed by a Chromecast audio. :#

The Tidal integration is excellent. Steaming to my Oppo with BubbleUPnP became a constant frustration with dropouts and stoppages. Been streaming using the CXN all day on shuffle with a monster 4000+ song playlist. Not a single hiccup. Bliss!
  • Great unit to get a basic taste of that these players can do. Congrats. Cambridge was very good for me. No regrets. !
