How old is this DAC? And do you know if it will take a DSD signal?

    Thanks

Unsure of age. Unsure whether DSD. Sorry.

Received as described and packaged very securely, thank you!

Quick question. This is my first experience with a DAC. Can I simply plug the optical audio cord from my Oppo 103 for cd playing, or do I need to change a setting on the Oppo so it is purely a transport?

Your optic should not need to be turned on.

I've never had a Oppo but I've also never had a player I had to turn the optic on or off.

Please let us know how it sounds. I'm itching to get a DAC next.

Yep, just add it into the chain between transport and preamp. Make sure the dac is on!

    Yeah, just over thinking it.

I don't have the vocabulary to express it, but I've listened to more cd's in the last couple days than probably the last couple years. It's been fun revisiting some old favorites.

It is difficult to put that feeling into words sometimes. It's sometimes just as simple (or complex) as a deeper degree of feeling from the listening experience that draws you in; somehow just more engaging and enjoyable.
