Seems like a non issue to me? It's just stocks and sights, not like he's selling guns to random unknown members.

Common sense says since it does say in the rules no talk about guns, which you can damn well be sure means any part of one, that trying to sell any part of one is also against the rules.

I guarantee that if we had a mod this thread would disappear.

Assault version actually. The tactical version has a 50,000 watt tri-beam flash light and a flamethrower attachment.

^^ no, but I don't go to gun message boards to buy audio stuff. Everything has its place I suppose.

    Verbatim the rule is:

    4) Pornography and violent images are not allowed on this forum. This includes posts about weapons or explosives. Duh.

Whether or not you interpret the 2 accessories for sale as being ok or not, the photo of the weapon attached to the stock and the discussion of the 870 is clearly not allowed.

Not here to judge, just pointing out the rules are pretty clear on this topic.
  • steveinaz
    steveinaz Posts: 19,538
Where the "common sense" part is falling apart, is that these are accessories, Not "Weapons." There was no "discussion" of the 870, it was simply listed so people understand what the stock set is compatible with---necessary information for a buyer. Please explain in a "common sense" fashion how the photo's could be interpreted as either "violent" or "pornographic."

Not judging, just pointing out the FACTS.

I’m with ya Steve. For crying out loud some people can’t even look at the American flag (or any version of it) without feeling it’s a violent image and, therefore, “offensive”.

The insane part (to me) is you'll notice I was very careful not to use the word g-u-n ANYWHERE in the add. To think that I had to jump though those hoops, so no one would suffer a coronary, or sue me for inflicting PTSD, just blows me away.

God help you if you try to sell a portable deer stand on here.....

The accessories or picture are not considered violent or pornographic. The simple reference to the gun that uses the accessories and the photo of the gun attached to the accessory is what I believe is not allowed. I read the rule as "any posts about weapons are not allowed". I interpret this to mean any reference to or picture of guns is not allowed - again I'm not talking about the accessories, just the supporting material you provided. I guess you interpret the rules differently.
