Road Trip - Polk SDA SRS 3.1TL Black

Went down to GA and picked up a pair of SDA SRS 3.1TL in black that cleaned up really nice!
This is the 1st pair of 3.1TL I have owned.
As with all SDA's, I opened them up, checked all divers and wiring. One of the MW6511 was a Polk replacement, so I dug in the stash and got a original 6511 to replace it.
Took a couple hours to clean them up, and these will be keepers for now in my H/T set-up as fronts. I need to touch up a few spots on the top and bottom caps with some black stain. Also, I need to dig in the stash and see if I have a pin/blade interconnect.
Pictures coming soon...

Nice!
I have an identical pair of black 3.1's. They sing when given some good power. Amazing how they have such a solid center image (often sounding like the center channel is playing) but at the same time can produce such a HUGE soundstage. -

I agree with @JayMX
I think the 3.1's will win though (CLEARLY biased here since I own a pair) -
Congrats!

Nice score..!
I recently finished a rebuild project of a set of 3.1TL's in black. I went all in with every mod that the Polk Gods here on this forum have come up with, including the new crossovers from @VR3.... and a Dreadnought...
I power them with a Simaudio Moon Titan amplifier and now that the Polks are completely broken in they sound fantastic... leaps and bounds better they when I first brought them home...
Enjoy and beware of that rabbit hole... it's a slippery slope...lol -

I visit the rabbit hole often. Previously or currently own SDA-2B, SDA-1C, SDA SRS 2, SDA SRS 2.3TL.

Congrats! I pretty much performed the "Full Monte" in upgrades on mine, and they are exceptional. The center imaging is so clean with the single tweeter, on a lot of recordings I much prefer them over the 2.3TL's.
They certainly are worthy of any and all mods you can give them. Enjoy!
